Just bought a 1972 911T non sunroof coupe with original engine and transmission. Car has been sitting for several years. 164,000 miles on car and the engine was rebuilt to S specs 30K miles ago and tranny had synchros replaced (I saw paperwork). Engine has webber carbs on it now, but also came with MFI. Poked around with a screwdriver quite a bit looking for rust. The front pan will have to be replaced, but the jack points and rear torsion bar covers look good. Floor pan also looks to be in excellent shape. I also looked pretty good behind the engine and found no significant rust. There is some rust below the windshield - at the seal- but it does not appear to be too bad. The interior is in pretty good shape. Seats have the houndstooth inserts and look nearly new. The dash is also in excellent shape. All original glass is still in car and in excellent shape. Car also has factory AC. Original color is Abergine (now white).
So how would you value a car like this? Just want to make sure I paid a reasonable amount. Thanks in advance. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I might be off, but I would say 5K to 7K, given the rust on the front pan!

Well, how much did you pay for it? Where did you find it?
I would @ ~ 3.5K would be a good deal. Mine was about the same situation. It will need to be totally gone through due to amount of time it has been sitting.

Thanks guys!
Rattlsnak - I paid a little less than 3,500 (3,250). Mine will also have to be gone through. I figured I could part the car out and make a pretty good bit, but depending on the amount of rust I find it could be a great resto candidate. I have always wantied a '72 911! Oh, the car also has the "S" package.

Having said that, rust repair is never cheap. And if you do part it out, that just makes my '72 a little bit more valuable! ![]()
