I have ordered some parts about a year or so ago. They were the parts that were not available anywere in Europe where I was searching.
In my opinion even with the low dollar it is better to shop in Europe. I gave Pelican my address exactly how it should be but they sent the package somwhere to Brunei or what :-)
When they received the package back with "no such address" stamp they asked me for a different address to send it to. I told them that the address I gave them before was OK but they insisted on another one. So I gave them my granny's address and the next time everything was OK.

Also count with the need to pay the VAT and Tax. I ordered the stuff before we (the Czech Republic) entered EU in May 2004 but I think this is the same even with EU countries: you pay VAT + tax if the value of the goods exceeds some 200 EUR or so.

I recommend you to try to contact mittlemotor or some other European supplier. Go and look at my homepage at www.un.cz/porsche to see some links. I hope you will understand Czech at least to the extent you need to find the links :-)

Tons of steereng wheels are for sale on ebay.de And sometimes you can get them for really low price, like 10 EUR or so. But usually they go for around 60 EUR. (I mean the original ones, if you have an 88 Carrera, then the four spoke one).
I think the new wheels will be pretty expensive...

delivery is usually quick from pelican - within 10-15 days at most.

shipping costs and import duties are the problem!

I agree, if you cant find it in europe order it from Pelican, otherwise its a bit expensive (I have to add ~30% in taxes to Sweden)....
I have ordered from Pelican and it was pretty quick when all parts was in stock.

Janez, nema problema. Stvarchice stizu za 2-3 sedmice sa najsporijom poshtom (US Air Mail). Porez i carine se razlikuju od zemlje do zemlje.
Pozdrav!
