Daka,

contact Matt Man (member) he fabricates the correct offset hinge to adapt the deck lid to early cars. Cost is around $150.00.
Deck lid was $450.00 and paint $500.00.

Good Luck

the first thing that I thought of was that's a tough paint match.. especially getting it to stay blended for a few years.. It looks great.

So $500 was for painting?

paint match

RoninLB

Yes, $500 for prep & paint of deck lid only.
Most body shops wanted to paint and blend the back half of the car so the deck lid would not stand out has much compared to the old paint.
Only a very skilled body shop can match and paint a single body part to old paint.
Scott Lenon (PCA member) and owner of "Creative Coachworks" in Dover NJ performed the work.

If anyone is interested in a deck lid for this conversion -- I have a Carrera 4S deck lid in mint condition, silver with all the electricals, vent wing, etc. still intact.

Please email me directly at eb61636@yahoo.com.

thanks,
erik.
