weber carb differences

Does any one know the difference between these following Weber carb types?

40 IDA 3C
40 IDS
40 IDT

Is there one type more suited to the 911 engine? I am looking at buying a set and want to get the right type

thanks

The weber 40 IDA 3C is the one used on the 911 (and the 365 BB Ferrari). There is no mention of the other types you list in my Weber book (Tomlinson's weber tech manual). I thing the 3C part is important because it refers to the triple throats.
