Where is the type number on a 915
 
I can't find it. I found 3 casting numbers, but I dont see a 915/?? number. Where's it at?

The number is stamped on a large flat boss underneath the differential, near the drain plug.

Is that where the serial number is also?

The number should be 915/tt xxxxxxx or if you are lucky 915/tt 12 xxxxxxx. The tt would be the type, the xxxxxxx would be the serial and the 12 would be for factory LSD.

Negative on the LSD for sure, the shafts spin in opposite directions when you turn them by hand.
