You could always save some (substantial) money by going with some widened Fuchs...

I absolutely agree. The 15s look the best, but Ive read that the tires are not so good. Is the 16" tire selection any better?

Andy, what are my options with the widened fuchs? Any examples? Any advice on getting a set made or finding tires for them?

TIA

Not anymore since it doesn't have its original engine and has modified body parts. However, it looks like a fun car that's worth low $20k's if rust free and mechanically sound.

"The selling price of $ 38,950.- reflects the fact that this car was built from a true 911S and not the much lesser 911T, never had any rust problems and does not need anything but driving."

:) When people pay more for an S that is modified than they pay for a T isn't it because they want the S VIN & intend to restore it back to its original, valuable state? Why would an S-based fibreglass RS 'clone' with 3.2 be worth more than a T-based fibreglass RS 'clone' with 3.2?

So the tire availability SUCKS for both 15's and 16's. Basically none for 15's and only a couple of comp tires for the 16's.

These are the rims I bought for my RSR originally: 9x16 11x16

These are the forglines I just bought... 9.5x17, 11.5X17 with proper RSR backsets, the car in the back is not mine. It is the sellers:
