Powder Coating

Can I powder coater over an anodized serface, I and going to powder coat my caps for my wheels and I removed all of the paint but 3 of the 4 I purchased are the silver anodized so do I hav to completly remove it or can I go a head and coat them and also will the final coating look all the same.

Yes you can. The problem lies with the fact that an annodized surface is porous. This allows grease and dirt to be trapped which will come out under the baking process. When this happens the PC will show pitting, bubbles or may flake off.

Best approach is to bead blast the annodization off. That or do multiple pre-bake/cleaning steps.

the surface will look the same when coated.
