So, what are the other affordable options? Fikse's? BBS? Lets see them! Please, no $9k sets of 15" RSR wheels either.

Hey Sherman, you need to check out CCWs stuff. They have some pretty good looking wheels that are quite respected in the club racer world and the prices are much better than big name brands. Should be able to get a set for $1800 or so....

IMHO, Wheels and stance make the car. I don't think this is an area to skimp, especially on an RSR clone. My 3pc fuchs (9,11x17)were almost $1k cheaper than the "affordable Fiske's"!

Another RSR clone based on a 1973 911S

973 Porsche 911S Vin# 9113300870
This car is a true factory S and one of the most valuable early Porsche.
The milage shows 40250 and we will try to get more history on this car.

Fully restored and upgraded to resemble and performe like an true RSR

Driving experience: The car does exactly what you want. Either a pleasent drive to the shopping mall or a wild chase cross contry.
Perfect if you like vintage racing and also drive this car on the street.


Body is absolut rustfree and has the following features:
Like true RSR's, all composite fenders, doors, hood, engine lid with tail, front and rear bumpers.
Headlamps are E-1, all lights are like new, all gaskets have been replaced, and all glass is also like new.
White headliner, carpet, floor mats, RSR door panels, correct leather Sport seats, sport steering wheel and all other trim is in good to excellent original condition,
dash top has the usual cracks.
Driver side full Pyrotect safety harness, seat bet bar, passenger has standart shoulder belt, dual aerodynamic sport mirrors
Suspension: front and rear adjustable sway bars, rear adjustable torsion arm to adjust rear hight, Aluminium brakes on front axles,
Adjustable crossover link for front suspension towers, kony front and rear shocks, dry cell battery,
Correct 9inch front wheels and 11inch rear wheels, new tires 205-55-16, 245-45-16


Engine: Bulletproof 3.2 engine # 64F02622, Type 930/21, estimated at close to 300HP, fitted with Webers 46 Ida carburettors, matching intake manifolds, intelligent Crane
Fireball Ignition system with sensible RPM cut out at about 6600RPM, exhaust header system with racing heat insulation and bypass muffler, two oil coolers keep
engine temperature in check, one fender mounted oil cooler as original and one in front air dam.
Engine and transmission is not leaking any oil - very unusual and a sign of profesional workmanship.

Harold - did you upload the correct picture to go with your first post ?

There are a number of 'discrepancies' in your description of the car:

Like true RSR's, all composite fenders, doors, hood, engine lid with tail, front and rear bumpers.

Original '73 RSR's used steel fenders/hood/doors - & the car shown does not have RSR-style fenders...

correct leather Sport seats

Original '73 RSR's used lightweight fixed grp bucket seats (usually Recaros)

Correct 9inch front wheels and 11inch rear wheels

The car shown does not have 9 & 11 in wheels... (looks more like7 & 8 or 7 & 9 in)

205-55-16, 245-45-16

Original '73 RSR's used 15 in diameter Fuchs wheels - not 16 in

etc, etc

However it does look a nice car.

Not anymore since it doesn't have its original engine and has modified body parts. However, it looks like a fun car that's worth low $20k's if rust free and mechanically sound.

No, it resembles an RS Touring and it performs like an early car with a 3.2L. 300HP? I suspect it's measured, as Wayne D. said before, "at the STEERING WHEEL."

And what's with the harness bar / harnesses without a rollbar? Apparently in lieu of DOT seatbelts, too.

Finally, aren't those the infamous e-bay sport seats?

The first RS clone is a nice looking car. I hate to nitpick, but I wish the 936 silver metallic engine bay had been sprayed white with the rest of the car.

This is not working well.

Sherman - IMHO the wide (& expensive) Fuchs are a vital part of the RSR look.

You could always save some (substantial) money by going with some widened Fuchs...
