1987 Summer Yellow Coupe

I am looking at trading in my 1998 M3 Convertible for a 1987 911 Sunroof Coupe.

The car is Summer Yellow. Is that a factory color for 1987?

I have the "Original Porsche 911" book, and it does not list that color for the 3.2L Carerra's. I am pretty sure summer yellow is a factory color from the earlier 911 years.

The car is being sold by Holt Motorsports in PA. Anyone have good experience with them?

Wow, great color! The 911 Red Book lists color code 10W "Summer Yellow" as a standard color for 1987.

Can't help you on the dealership. Not sure about the color either but I like it. Sort of like "speed yellow" but just a little toned-down Looks very clean. Good luck. Make sure you get a P.P.I. done. The valve job is a real plus, since they had valve guide issues......

Summer yellow - my favorite Carrera color!

I think I've only seen 2 on the road. One I would see every day on the way to work for a few months - it looked like an 87-89. Such a cool color!

After looking at the car and the chart, the one I used to see seemed a lot lighter - maybe a different color?

I bought a 911 from Tim Holt in 99.He is a long time Porsche guy and will not buy or sell junk.The cars are gone over before he sells them,this comes from others that know of him too.He is a pretty talented driver too!

I know Tim well. He’s as straight a shooter as you’ll find in the car business. He only picks the cream of the crop cars. Let me know if you’d like a second opinion, I could drop by his shop for a closer look.

I am looking to trade my 1998 M3 Convertible for this deal.

Anyone want to buy a 1998 M3 Convertible (62,000 miles, Estrol Blue, Black Top, Auto, Heated Seats, Power Seats, 6-disc changer, Harmon Kardon, etc..)? Asking $24,500 after the following items fixed:

1. Front control arm bushings and alignment
2. Rear shocks (rear shock mounts are OK and not cracked)
3. New Conv. Top straps (starting to catch 1/2 the time on top lowering)
4. Refinish the rims (curb rash)
5. New tires (currently has Toyo's)

Otherwise, 60,000 mile dealer service completed (brake, tranny, and engine fluid flushes, belts, etc...)

Ask the guys on the BMW boards but looking around the net your asking price appears to be high.
