Door pocket restoration

I'm almost to the end of my project.
As you can see the inside is pretty much what remains.

I have a carpet kit that includes the door pocket pieces.
My questions is what to do with the inside of the pockets.
What is the material the originals are made of? I've spray painted them at least once and it really soaks up the paint and after a while turns that rude brown color again. Anaybody done anything to treat these where it has lasted?

Second, the red seats came out of a 993. There missing the covers where the seatbelts attach on the inside. (Where the console on the newer cars is found.) Anyone got a picture of one of these? Can I make one out of something?
How about a part number?
I guess I could start a search at used parts places?
