911th Post and Pics
When I first signed on I never thought I would reach 911 posts in less than one year. Thanks to all those who offered their assistance during that time.
Since I never did so when first joining, I thought this would be an appropriate time to finally show some pics of my car.

Nostatic,
Good eye. I'm new to this pic posting business. There is but one tank and filler door. I'll flip it to correct asap. And thanks.

Paul,
Thanks. I have 6x15's on the front of my '74 with 205/60/15 Bridgestones and 7x15's on the rear with 205/60/15. Your sidewalls look like they bulge a little on the rear so I was wondering what size rims you were using. Your yellow car is very nice, too bad the weather isn't good enough for us to drive year-round!

Nostatic,
Imagine the range I could get from 2 full tanks! Art, I have never thanked a man before for commenting favorably on my bulge! Those are 196/65/15 front and 215/60/15 rear, which are really @ the limit for the 6s, but they work fine. Although, w/ the decreasing availability of performance tires in the 15 size, I think some 7x 16s may be in my future.

I bought my 1977 911S in Seattle in I believe 1979. I was going in to pick up a BMW 630 CSI and there on the floor was a triple black 77 S with pirellis, front spoiler all the goodies which I couldn't resist. Seeing yours brings back great memories!!

Hi Paul,
Great car! What part of TO do you live in? I've never seen your car on the road. I'm usually either downtown or in West Toronto. Happy new year |

Paul,
I have a set of "like new" Dunlop Sport 9000's in 205/50/15 and 215/50/15 that I can sell if you need them. I had trouble fitting 8x15's on the rear, I had rubbing issues, so I switched to 6's on the front and 7's on the rear with no rubbing.

I'm OK for tires for the time being. And you're right about the climate. I'm currently in FL (witjout the car). It's perfect 911 weather (sigh). ![]() Twobone, I live in Riverdale. I had my office for about 9 yr @ Yonge & Eglinton and drove every day (except winter), but for the last year or so I have relocated to the home so I'm not putting in as many miles . Thanks, RS Bob. Funnyguy, I know what you mean. I've got about 16 years of memories w/ this car and still counting.
