Do you really need a new one? ![]() By the way, that RS shelf thing that I bought from you puts a smile on my face everytime I get in the 911. It's soooooo cool! My wife is right, I really do get excited over the silliest little things. |

Same question as Steve, why new? I've got one I just took out of my car, works great, in the quest to be lighter...

Glad the shelf worked out Steve. Yes I think I need a new blower. It is the only blower left in the car and I like the extra bit it adds now that the sunroof is gone. The blower I have makes a bunch of noise and I would like to just buy a new one so I am good for another 25 years
![]() It would appear Pelican does not carry them for a '79. No ebay just need an easy source for a new one? |

Check Vertex, I bought a blower from them and it was the only place I found that sold both the fan and the motor together.
I had trouble trying to get the fan off the motor. Also, my fan was somewhat busted. Some of the blades had broken away from the "support" ring plastic. probably could have been crazy glued, but this was easier. On the same note: There is a circular foam seal that holds the fan moter in the housing. Does anyone know if that is available anywhere? Mine is old and dried out and broke in one place. I still fit in back in there to hold the motor, but a new one would be better.

"Do you really need a new one?"
Yes, you need a new one especially for electrical component. Why would you waste $$$ to buy something is going to break again? I think I paid $159 for a complete new housing(with motor) from the Porsche dealer in Oregon.

I paid $35 (delivered!) for the whole used assembly - plastic case and motor with fan - off Pelican classifieds 3 years ago.
