Whats your suspension alignment settings????

The on-going restoration is almost complete (85 Euro carrera). I will soon be at the alignment stage.
The mods to the suspension are as follows:-
Front -
22mm Sanders hollow 't' bars,
bronze bushes on 'A' arms,
monoball upper suspension mounts,
bilstein sports shocks,
turbo tie rods.
Rear -
28mm Sanders hollow 't' bars,
monoballs,
bronze bushes on spring plates,
bilstein sports shocks.
I have also changed wheel bearings, anti-roll bar poly bushes etc.

Basically I'm looking for advice for the final suspension settings that takes into consideration all of the above mods.
What works???????
I am looking for a 'fast road' setting.
Any advice is appreciated.
Best regards
Rob Justice

Do a search....there are many non-factory-spec settings that work...each is a compromise.

For fast road work, I'd go max caster ( about 6 degrees or so) maybe 0.75 to 1.0 degree negative camber front, a "smidge" of toe-in ( 15 minutes total for both wheels). For the rear I'd try 0 to"smidge" toe-in....and camber in two choices:
a.) an extra 1/2 degree negative from what you end up using in the front...OR
b.) equal camber as used in the front if you'd like the car a tad more "neutral". The extra 1/2 degree neg camber ( rear) would likely induce a small amount of stability-inspiring understeer at speed.

This is just one way...many other options, I'm sure......

This is what I'm up against - it handles like nothing I've ever been in before.

I like the look of that Escort Rob. What are the specs?

Here's a handy thread I've got bookmarked for when i finally get my alignment done. It pretty much echoes Wils figures. Who's doing your alignment btw?

Hmmm....you were looking for a "fast road setting"...and now you're "up against" what looks like a full rallye spec early Escort???

The Escort was prepped to fast tarmac spec. Type 49 Steel bubble arch shell, Caged, turreted rear suspension, WRC front crossmember, yokohama intermediates, bilstein tarmac shocks, 2 1/4 quick rack, tarn-x straight box, quaife LSD, double width kit, twin cam anti roll bar, suspecsion set at 3 degree caster, 2 degree camber. 8" Mag minilights star spec, group 1 brakes, 2 litre Pinto kicking out 180 hp at flywheel - thing revved to 8,000 on twin 48's and RL31 cam.
Great fun but one off the most impractable cars ever - flat out or nothing.
