1984 color question???

Hi all, I'm new to the forum. Just bought a 84 TL (Turbo Look). Very pleased with it so far.

It's a blue metalic color, but I don't know the "official" name of the color.

Here's a pic: http://www.luoxley.com/rightfront.jpg

Can someone help me with the name of the color Porsche called it.

tnx, Bill

Welcome to the board, Bill.

Here's what PaintScratch.com has to say:

Looks to be Slate Blue Metallic Clearcoat.

Rick, that's a great website for colors, thanks.

Now, if you have time, tell me where to look for the color code.

Bill,

No time at all...it's right next to the name of the color, L661/X6.

Rick,
I think he means where on the car. Most would be on the door jam plate on driver side. There are other possible locations but I forget them all.

Front trunk, right panel, left to the type "sticker".

Bill-
Welcome to the board. As kees said - look in the front trunk, passenger side. Pull away the trunk carpet and up around the hinge area, there should be a plate with the color code. There might also be a sticker on the underside the front hood, near the front.

Bill, the first few pages of the owners manual show you where all the informational stickers are.
