Mix-matching engine parts...

All,
Is it possible to put mid 80's 3.3L parts onto a 3L? The parts being intake, injector lines, full exhaust (headers/exchangers etc.).
I think you get what I would like to do
Thanks for the info...
Jeremy

I disagree. A 78 SC will have 8.5:1 CR. This is usually a target for hot turbo motors which also use an SC cam grind. I don't think there are too many internal differences between the cases and both use CIS. It will bolt on to the heads and the exhaust will also fit. you would have to modify the sheet metal to run the turbo piping.

Go for it, lay rubber and send some pics!

Well then, If I can't spend this money turboing my SC, then I will just have to get TVs in the headrests of my Escalade

Forget our kidding, dont give up hope yet! If you are going to try and go that route there are alot of good parts!

the HE's
muffler
maybe the turbo(i you can find out what kind it is)

and you can sell the CIS system to recoup some $$

DONT give up! a turbo SC is one bad ass ride!

Have you guys been watching this auction? I have just for kicks to see what the parts go for.
Do either of you find it odd that two memeber's have been out-bidding eachother and they both coincidently have sceen names that are associated with a Harley? Especially since one has no feedback?

I'm glad to see the price has gone up since I was selling a lot of the same stuff minus the turbo and a couple of the pipes for about $800.
