carpet install

I am installing an RS carpet kit right now. While I come inside to take a break from the fumes I thought that I would mention a way to make clean bolt holes through the carpet for things like gear shift housing bolts and seatbelt bolts etc. I get the carpet glued in place and then feel through it for the underlying hole. A good hot woodburner/soldering iron pushed into the hole works nice. You can also seal the edges of cut out holes this way. If you know this, please disregard.
