Carrera Leather/vinyl question

I have a 1984 Carrera with the factory front leather seats. The back seats appear to be vinyl. Does that make sense? Can anybody tell me what was standard for 1984 with front leather seats (mine is Euro, if that matters). And what about door panels? Vinyl?

It's called the partial leather option.

Thanks. "Original Porsche," my only reference, isn't specific about it.

I would guess that you have the standard partial-leather interior. However, it should be called the "minimal-leather" package, as the only leather pieces are the front (seating) surfaces of the front seats, the steering wheel wrap, and shift boot. Everything else is vinyl.

What I thought. Though I didn't realize the back of the front seats were also vinyl. Pardon me, "leatherette"!

I have an additional question to add to this thread. My 911 is an 87 if that makes a difference. Is the dash and rear deck leather or vinyl? thanks

LOL....aka "Leather Seating Surface". Probably a bit more explanatory.

Jerry, On my '85 it appears that the Dash Cover is leather and the rear deck is Vinyl.
