We need TOP GEAR in the U.S. (petition)

http://www.petitiononline.com/OT12eek3/petition-sign.html?

Everyone must sign this.

TOP GEAR must be broadcast here. To hell with all of the other "car" shows here.

Edit: this was meant to be in OT so if the powers that be see it please move.

Edit again: Can we get a sticky?

I personally DO (very much) recommend Top Gear, in spite of the likelyhood that the less critical portion of the typical U.S. audience may, just sometimes, be a wee bit off-ended by the limey's remarks, to which I can only add that this is what is to be expected from the English (and I like it!).

And, mind you, Jeremy Clarkson is not ALWAYS in 100% good faith but, in general, plenty good laughs, and his thick tongue fills up very well the cheek indeed.

Isn't it the same as "5th Gear" on SpeedChannel. I do enjoy it, but the male host Brit accent is over the top. I feel like he's doing Sheakspeare behind the wheel

God no - not the same as 5th Gear!!

Take Mr Clarkson with a big pinch of salt and it's a good hour of entertainment.

I personally like his irreverent style.

I've downloaded every episode from 2004 and several from earlier years off of the internet, but I'm about 6 or 7 episodes behind on watching. I'll have to check that episode out.

Jeremy Clarkson is hilarious, and his two sidekicks reall add to the hilarity. The three of them work well together. 5th Gear is good, but not nearly as much as Top Gear.

I cross posted the petition onto vwvortex.com - there's lots of Top Gear fans over there! I spent blissful mornings over Christmas holidays downloading and watching Top Gear. The one with the Atom was great. Listening to him holler while he drove it. As much as I love him I'll never forgive him for wrecking that 911!
