schematic for wiring Hella 140s?

Hello all.

I have just acquired a set of Hella 140s to mount on my 1970 911 T. Can anyone point me to a source for a schematic for how to wire them so that they go on and off in sync with the high beams? And/or to wire them via a separate switch?

Thanks in advance.

Jim,

When I install my headlamp relays, I thought about this. Would this help?

Thanks, Harry! I think this tells me most of what I needed.

Two more questions, then, as to your recommendations: what gauge wire should be used to run to the Hellas, and what is the resistor value shown between the dash switch and ground?

Hi Jim,

12 ga THHN Wire (gasoline and oil resiustant at your local ACE Hardware) will be more than adequate.

The "resistors" are actually the coils of the relays. Get some heavy duty ones that are rated for 40 amps.
