Gauges Install Photos.

Put my new gauges in yesterday. Bought some aluminium, made a template, cut, filed, sanded, painted, installed gauges. Rewired the whole front of the car. Took out tons of un used wires.

The hole on the left will be used for a fresh air intake for the driver (me). I just have not installed the hose bib or lines yet.

All gauges work and look much better then what was there before. I also made the dash panel a quick release set up. I can get it out in about 5 minutes should I need to do any work on them or add more.

Autometer gauges do come with their own senders. Pretty much all senders are easy to install as long as the location isn't bad.

Great looking and high quality gauges.

What's the big red light on the right? Oil press or temp warning?

The senders are from auto meter. I had to get a adapter machined for the oil temp sender. but the Presure sender fits right into the block where the other one went.

The big red light is oil pressure. I am thinking of getting an oil temp light as well.

Did I tell you that I hate the RAIN.. tlest for 5 days in a row. My pool is about to over flow. I keep going out with my shop vac and pumping water out of it.

That is the instant "oil slick" switch!!!LOL

That switch is actually for all the lights on the Auto meter gauges. Which rarely gets used except if I run any night enduros. Which is only once a year.

YOU won't miss it? I don't think I will miss it if it comes on ("...honey, what's that red glow on the horizon?" "Oh, don't worry, it's just Vintage911Racer's oil pressure light.")!

Well since it might someday save save me $15,000 on an egine rebuild, BIGGER Is better. On a sunny day if you have a small light, you may not be able to see it.

When a stop signal goes off in your car, you know it is time to shut it down.
