Taj Kreuzers Speedfest - June 05 Ohio

Its coming up again kids!
For those of you who have been here before you know what a nice event this is. This year looks like it will be even bigger. Last year more than $50,000 was raised for the Ronald McDonald house charity.
Here is a tentative schedule.

Fri June 03 - Quaker Steak and Lube Party (wings and beer)
Sat June 04 - MVSCC Autocross at Wright State Univ.
(Note: the Autocross will be on a much bigger course this year. Expect great speed in a safe wide open facility)
Sat June 04 - Taj Ma Garaj Porsche Museum Tour
Sat June 04 (evening) Taj Ma Garaj VIP gala
Sun June 05- Taj Road Warrier Tour (8 am)
Sun June 05- Taj Concours (Noon-5pm)

Hope everyone in the area can make it. More details at www.tajmagaraj.com

There must be something wrong in the universe - this year's Taj event doesn't conflict with Tweeks / Mid America Motorworks event, as it did last year.

But a 5 PM Sunday end time for the car show is a bit late for us out of towners.

Jim,
we dont chain you wheels to a tree
The big highlight has always been the driving tour. Everything is nice and mellow. If you slid out an hour or two early on the show you will still come away with a great w-e.
Come check it out!

I heard you chained the cars to a tree and then sold the key to the lock for $100, and thats how you raised the $50K! The last car show I went to charged $25 to register, had over 200 cars show up, and the event "sponsor" donated all of $2500.00 to a charity. But seriously, the Taj event has a good reputation, and anybody raising $50,000 should be supported.

I hope to be there.

LOL
You will enjoy it. There are plenty of side things for wives in the area as well. Lots of antiquing within 30 minutes if so inclined.
Air Force museum is 15 min away and is a pretty incredible tour too.
I think I will be trying the autocross for the first time this year

You must have added that line for me and Judy!!!
I've put it on my calendar. June is a busy month, Taj on the 5th, Parade at the end of June. AND my daughter is due with our first grandchild in June.

That may be the priority event!!!!

I think that I'll have to skip the Parade, but I'm planning on attending Taj. Hopefully that won't be the first early get-together in 2005.
