Webasto gasheater info wanted

Hi everybody,

I am a newcomer and restoring a 911t Targa, 1968, l.w.b.
And at this moment i am puzzling how to connect electrally
and mechanicaly the gas-heater in the luggage-well.
So I need info concerning electr. schematics and how this
heater is mounted in the well in the luggage compartment.
It is an Webasto P1018 gas heater, and it is unbelievable
how hard it is to get information.I already mailed to Webasto
company but they replied all the info on this heater is not
anymore in their files.
I hope that some of you members may have experience
with this item and can help me out with a nice scheme or
photograf or anything that may helpfull.

Thanks and greetings from oldtimer.

Here's a wiring diagram from our host: http://www.pelicanparts.com/911/911_Parts/Electrical/911_electrical_webasto_71.jpg

Webasto diagram from a 74-75. Don't know if it matches yours or not:

Hello Kurt and Gary,

Thanks to the both of you, this is a great help for me. I think it is
wise to make on a wooden board an test model before installing it and
perform a try-out, to prevent to set the car on fire. When the car is on
wheels again in my garage i'll make some pic's and put them on this
forum.
Thanks again,
Oldtimer
