Torsion tube question

Is this anything to worry about? I looks like a bracket. The body around the tube looks fine. This is from a 80 SC.

Ron G,

I would not waste any time getting that replaced.
You are fortunate to have a galvinized chassis so your torsion tube is likely fine. I would pull the spring plate off and inspect however.

Time for a little mantainance expence.

Good luck.

You see that rubber thing inside the hole in the bracket. That's your springplate bushing. The bracket is the bearing surface!!!
