Jack,
Mr buffers answer to the question can/do I still use my high speed buffer? "It certainly can. That's when you start getting mirror shines." |
I'd like to hear how that zoop seal stuff works. A bit expen$ive for me to try without some personal testimony from someone who had used it.

I am the guy who brought Mr Buffer to the Porsche world:) He does all my polish work, and takes a ton of pride in his work. His polish was developed to get the job done and with minimal effort. You will not find a better polish. He is a small shop with big time work, and luckily is located close to my house. I pay for my polish just like everyone so not saying this to sale polish lol.

I have every metal polish around except Mr Buffer. I couldn't find his phone #. Maybe I'll e-mail him for it to place an order. fwiw, I've taken out some serious scratches with Mothers and a die grinder with pads. When no scratches Mothers is too coarse to use by hand with my act. Other pelicanheads have written that they have had great success with a buffer on the end of a drill. There is different levels of buff pads available. I would offer that when your wheels are as good as your bathroom mirror it's good enough. At that point washing is a delicate maneuver. I also install Mcguires tire dressing heavy and leave it on thick before I buff. |
What about with the black spokked rims, do you tape that area off? Or is this info just for the 'fully polished' crowd?

If you have factory black spoked Fuchs then the alloy parts of the wheel are anodized and the above procedures do not apply. |
Mothers is very good - However the best results I've seen with store bought products is: Semi-Chrome
Semi-Chrome is a high end alluminum polishing cream, very old school. It comes in a small tube, its pricy, made in Germany with fantastic results. Like Noah mentioned, apply a very small amout and rub until the polish turns very dark. Rub out with a clean, soft towel. I use terrycloth. I use a high speed buffer to apply, this gives wonderful results. Thank you, Jason |

Anthony is correct if you have the Factory finish.
That means that the lips have a clear anodize that will not take a shine. If you have polished lips with black centers, then just hand polish out your lips! Jason |
