G50 shift coupler play
My shift coupler has some fore and aft looseness. Should the metal pieces be tight against the rubber dampener or should there be play?

Mine has some play also. I think it is normal but I could be wrong.

How does your's shift? Mine shifts well, I just wonder if it would reduce some slop to tighten it up. I can't find much searching or reading the Bentley manual. Anyone have a low mile car that can pop the lid and take a look at theirs?

Mine shifts very well. I think they designed the slop in there for noise control. That would be my guess
You know what helps gearheadia. Turbo your car. ;-)

I like your thinking! I've always got my eye out for an early 930 or 964 engine. A narrrow body, G50, turbo would be Nirvana in my world. Just gotta keep my 3.2 alive till I find the right one at a decent price.
