quick easy question.....coil wiring
73 911 T
How many wires are supposed to be attached to the two coil terminals? The one terminal has a twisted brown wire that goes to the ground. My other terminal only has a the blue/yellow wire from the CDS unit. ----------------- Shouldn't there be another wire that attaches to the terminal with the CDS unit? thanks! Jim |

Jim,
Perfectly normal! The 'other' wire is the braided shield, and it normally is bolted to the coil mounting bracket & distributor body clamping stud ... it is attached to the CDI unit at the other end at Ground terminal 'D' ...
