Call me old fashioned but........
I was at the Detroit Auto Show today and stopped by the Porsche display, imagine that. I guess I just prefer the old lines of the 911 compared to the new 997. I've seen the 997 at a dealer a month ago but, spent more time looking at it today. The 997 is a nice car but, I'd take a 993 wide body over the 997 all day long. Is there anyone out there that prefers the 997? If so, what are the reasons besides more HP?

I'm not saying that I prefer the 997, especially since I've not yet seen one in the flesh. I think I prefer the looks of anything '65-'98 more than the newer cars, but besides the horsepower the 997 is a much more capable car. It is quicker, faster, and will get around most tracks faster than most earlier cars.

OK, maybe the word I'm looking for is "commercial." The 997 is too much of a Lexus for me.

Not really however, the Saleen super car was pretty sweet to see in person.
