Tranney oil ?
Guys,
I have just reinstalled the engine and the 915 transaxle in my 74 911 and I want to change the trans fluid. I have available "Redline" 75 - 90 in GL.5 and BG synshift GL.4. Which one would you use.

Use the Redline. 915's don't like synthetic fluid.

Swepco 201 ;-) Sorry, not being funny, it really make a difference on all the "old" cars I tried it on...
If not, the redline is fine, I don't synthetic is good for the 915... |

Both Porsche boxes ( 915 and G50) require GL-5 rated lubes...not lighter duty GL-4...

the 915 box is not very synthetic frendly. Swepco 201 works best.
I tried the Redline in my 83SC, it was OK but not great, I went to swepco 201 and it was much better. |

I use Swepco, and it works in the 915-box.
