1972 R&T 916 intro - the 2000 lb Gorilla!!!
I ran across this issue of R&T a couple of weeks ago ... and the cover just begged to be scanned on a slow Friday night ... I think Grady has one quite a bit meaner than the factory offering!

How cool are those paisley seats?! I'd love to see this car in colour ;)
|
That's an awesome car! Always loved the 916 and would like to have a replica of that anytime.

Awesome, thanks for the scans. One of these days when I have tons of money burning a hole in my pocket (which means no time soon) I'm going to have to beg, borrow, and steal as many old R&T's as I can. I wish I had kept the copies I had from my subscription in the 80's.
If anyone is ever throwing any old R&T's away I'll pay shipping (but I can't tell my wife). |
Anybody notice the "groovy" seats in that thing. I think my dad had some pants like that.....
|
I kinda like those too.

I have just about all my R&T's from '68.....mid 80's are missing....
I also have ( ta da !) R&T reprints of every Porsche model tested since 1952.....cool stuff ( and prices !!!) I remember buying this 72 issue on 916...when it came out..... oh man. Wil ( crusty old fart...) |
