I will try the 964 forum as well . BTW I am aware that the C2 turbo 3.3 engine had the straight blade (I have a 92`C2 turbo engine) . Its the 3.6 engine that raises my question .
Yasir if I contacted Porsche N/A do you think I could get a responce by the end of the auction ? Do they offer info to people when you dont own the car ? Kurt Williams |
I was just looking at a 97` twin turbo and it too has the straight blade fan . So I guess thats one answer answered . Thanks for the pics yasir .

Kurt,
You still have the engine decal issue, too, why are they gone? Repaint, wreck? S |

Kurt,
Heres what Adrian has to say about the fan and the calipers. " Dear Yasir, The Turbo 3.6 has the same 11-blade fan as the normally aspirated 964 engines because it is an M64 engine not a M39 (930) engine. I am not sure what you mean by twisted because all the blades are angled otherwise it would not be a fan. I do nothave the pictures handy but there may be a difference in blade shape between the 930 fan and the 964 fan. There is also the old version of the M64 fan and the new version of the M64 fan. I have the old version but the new version if I remember correctly is more curvy. The 964 Turbo 3.6 was never fitted with big reds. These are the brakes used on the 993 1995 GT-2. The is an option to paint the callipers to match body colour and the Turbo 3.6 was offered with red or black callipers. Ciao, Adrian. www.adrianstreather.com Kurt, I have asked quite a few people about the engine decals and they all say " No decales----car has been resprayed " Hope it helps. |
Turbo fans(3.3 or 3.6) are all straight blade,
965 used Big Red front and smallest Brembo rear see here for details. They could be ordered in most any color and could have been changed out over the years. Biggest thing to look for is the correct 4mm hole 322x32 front rotors and 4mm hole 299x28mm rear rotors. |
