When we lived in Maryland a few years ago, my dad and I were looking for sand for the sandblaster. We looked all over Maryland for that fine of a sand, and Mike Davidson Sand and Gravel supplied it. Be sure to get a fine grit. I sandblasted the fan, and housing with it, and it worked excellent. I just went out in the garage and looked at the bag, and the only useful information appears to be the Mike Davidson company script. Of course the bag is half covered in tape, so it is kind of hard to read anything
![]() Good luck. Enjoy the sandblaster!

I also got a sandblaster recently. I have used glass bead's and steel slag. The glass bead's arn't as abrasive. The slag really takes the tough stuff off but it's like using coarser sandpaper. I had some older valve covers that I just couldn't get the baked on black finish off with the glass beads. I dropped in the slag and it made a big difference although it left a rougher finish. I used the glass beads for my fan and it did a good job.
