Weird weird brake problem
Ok so everything has been going great with the car, no problems, nothing causing too much trouble, then all of a sudden this weird problem appeared. After the car warms up and only after the car warms up the front left brake stars to rub and hum agaisnt something. Im not sure where its rubbing but the brake pads are definitely rubbing agaisnt something. The rubbing will start at about 40mph and become higher pitched as I go faster. TO remedy the problem all i have to do is tap the brakes or brake in general and the humming goes away immdiately. But when i turn the car wheel right or left just a half of and inch it'll start again and get worse until i turn the wheel past a certain point. Weird, any ideas.
Could it be that i need new pads? But there is no sign of rubbing on the rotors, their completely smooth no major rings in them or anything. |
could it be a wheel bearing? are you positive it's the brake pad?
jack up the front and grab the wheel and see if there is any "play" at the hub, there should be minimal play if any. |
