Boge Strut Shock Options
I have a set of Boge struts from an '87 Carrera that will be installed on my '69 Turbo project. What are my options for shocks on these struts. I have heard that there are adaptors to fit Bilstiens, could someone explain these to me and show me what they look like.
Thanks, Britain

Bilstein makes shocks that fit Boge struts. No adapters needed as far as I know. I installed Bilstein sport shocks in my 87 with Boge struts.
If the struts have the original shocks, you'll have to take all the oil out. If they've had inserts installed before, you just have to drop the new inserts in.

Yes. If you order Bilstein inserts, make sure you specify for Boge struts.
There are different shock options as well. Heavy Duty, Sport, etc.. depending on your application.
