Do you know this car?

This is a car I owned about 5 years ago, and sold to a buyer in Maine. I don't recall his name, but I loved that car, and wondered what became of it. It was a 1975 with a 3.2 conversion. I think his first name may have been Jerry. Anyway, thanks for the help in advance.

If you still have the VIN, I'd suggest contacting the Maine Dept. Motor Vehicles. In most states, R/O (registered owner) info is public info and can be obtained for a small fee and the reason you want it.....Good luck..

We used to have that in California. Until a psycho stalker used the DMV to track, shoot and kill a woman. But then the only truly disturbed mind in Maine is Stephen King...

Oh, I don't know - I have been disturbed for quite a while now!

I have not seen that car on the road here. Believe me, I would have remembered!

Sandy - There's another nut in Maine.....My ex-wife ran off with my Dentist (her boss) and moved across the county to Bangor, ME 20 yrs. ago.......Seriously, states will difer, In Washington, you show ID, pay your 5 bucks and give a reason you want the info.....The state then mails a copy of that request to the R/O.....Dunno about ME though, don't hurt to ask....

Jacko, your car is still on the road and being used. It is in the Augusta area and I see it fairly often in the summer. I always wondered how such a beautiful car could be in Maine...alas, it's transplant.

He has the tag MLO-YLO (Mello Yellow). The person driving it did not seem to be much more than his early 20's.
Still looks the same, doesn't seem to be hurt. I think he only drives it for the Wow factor. Anyways, If I see him on the road this year, I'll try to flag him down. Easier to do when I have my 911 so he doesn't think he's being carjacked.

There is another 911 up here that just floored me last summer. I was at the local "Cruise In" they have every Thursday night and this beautiful duallie pulls up with an aluminum diamond plate trailer. On it was the most beautiful red wide body 911 I have ever seen up here. Iroc bumpers, BIG red brakes, some exotic wheels, IROC type wing, full cage, recaro's, and on and on and on. My chin hurt for a day from hitting the floor.

We spoke for a while, nice guy. I asked him why he didn't put it in the show. He chuckled and said, "noone will know what they are looking at". The show is usually antique and street rods. Anyways, one more for us Mainiacs I guess.

Thanks for sending such a nice example to Maine. We need more P cars up here!

Andrew, thanks for the info, and the kind words. That is good to hear. I had that car for about 2 years, and I actually won a PCA autocross with it in the Florida Crown Region. It ran as good as it looked. You are correct, it was a very young fellow who bought it. I remember after he got it, he emailed me and told me it was better than he ever hoped for. That made me feel good. If you are ever in North Florida, look me up, we will have a beer and tell some lies!!
