The Cardera is the long awaited fourth model from Porsche. It is a hybrid based high-end coupe with 4 doors cut into it so it functions like a sedan. It does 0-60 in 11 seconds and is a Porsche design, sold by Porsche, but manufactured by a joint Porsche-Kia factory located in China. Dr. Wendolyn Wienie-King put out a press-release that it will save the company and prevent over-reliance on the fickle sports car market. There is rumor of a fifth model now, that will be an ultra-large Cayenne based vehicle to compete in the heavy pickup truck division. It will be a diesel-electric hybrid.

Huh - usually it's Boxster that gets mangled, not Carrera :)

Speaking of which, got the latest issues of Car and Autocar, both of which have write-ups on the Porsche C7/C7S - apparently the name for the Boxster Coupe. The car isn't half-bad...
