Jwest Shifter hits the spot

Well I put the JWest Rennshift in and man is it darn cool. A while back I posted about 901 shifter s being too far forward. The Renshift I beleive is geometricly simlar to the 915 and puts the stick right where it needs to be for me. Even on long drives ( I drove from Phoenix to Los Angeles this morining) with the seat back I can get all the gears with my harness nice and tight.

The shifting is as good as I could have ever expected. Of course the shift coupler adjsutment took several tries but it was worth it. I am stoked.

And on a side note I made a new steering coupler to replace my old one which was in four independent pieces when I took it out. It is amazing how much better the car steers when ther is no play in the linkage. I made the prototype out of Polyproplyne for fitting and tool set up practice etc. ($10 a foot for PP vs 60 for PU. Now I am going to make it out of Polyurathane. Whoo Hoo

The car is fun to drive again. Its like getting a new girlfrined.. I mean its like comming home to my loving wife every day.
