What to look for when buying Fuchs?

I want to buy some 7 and 8 x 16 Fuchs. I know the 944's also used Fuchs--are they the same?

Are there certain numbers I should look for on the wheel? To check for trueness, would rolling them spot any warped wheels?

944 Fuchs have 951xxxxxx part numbers. Fuchs made for 911/930 have 911xxxxxx part numbers. The offsets are different as well as the "look" of the wheel.
Do a search for fuchs offset or something like that and you'll find a wheel chart with a lot of wheel/offset information.

I think you'd have to spin the wheels on a tire machine for straightness.
I'd only buy factory Fuchs but that's just me. Factory Fuchs have p/ns and a fox head stamped on the inside of the wheel. They are also stronger and lighter than replicas.

Check for the correct part number, the fox-head logo, and also for stress cracks.
