Shaved Gas Pedal Stop, New Floorboard

I installed a new Rennline floorboard and found I wasn't getting full throttle after the installation (quite noticeable).

Adjusted the throttle linkage at every point but still couldn't seem to get set to the point to where the trottle was wide open with the pedal on the floor. If I adjusted too far I couldn't bring it back down to the idle stop, the other direction and I was still missing some throttle.

In the process of adjustment I refurbished my throttle linkage (cleaned, new bushings where required, staightened a few parts and greased where required).

I finally gave in to simplicity and cut part of the back of my gas pedal stop off (the protrusion off the back of the pedal). Worked like a champ.

Anyone else ever do this? I researched all the throttle adjustment threads but didn't find any others.

BTW, pedal movement is now smooth as silk with the new bushings and linkage referb.

Gordo
