Ok! I am tired of polishing my wheels!!

What do I coat them with?

I know that Al Reed offers a clear coat on his polished wheels for a nominal charge. I have no idea what it is exactly, ie powdercoat, anodize, whatever. He says it will stand up for years without yellowing, that is a biggie.
If it were me I'd call him and ask what he uses, never hurts to find out from a real pro.

Oops, sorry. I figured everyone knows about Al Reed.
He has a shop in Anaheim Ca and specializes in resrtoring /polishing wheels and Fuchs are a very big part of his business. He does very good work and his prices are very, very reasonable. He and his wife are also the friendliest and most helpful people you will likely ever run across.
If you do a search for Al Reed you will find the contact info along with a whole bunch of pictures of his work.

Al Reed polished and clear powder coated wheels. Done 2 years ago.

what I don't like about polished wheels that are cleared is that rock chips lead to oxidation sneaking further under the clear.

I guess as a daliy driver I might worry about rock chips. I've had mine for almost two years, clear powder coat with polished lips and paddles and drive 4,000 per year. Not one rock chip, only blemish is from killing cones at an AutoX
I just need to find out which is the best way to polish a clear powder coat.

great useage.. + I don't think your climate is as bad as mine.

I know about other paints, but not powder coat.
I'd probably look for hard info with the powder shooter. or ask around a PCA Concours meet.

if it was mine I'd probably wind up shooting it with Imron. I would rather go with a poly-urethane than an acrylic-urethane..
WTF, if it's good looking enough for custom paint jobs, and durable enough for garbage trucks.. how bad can it be?

then once that deep wet luster is on it's just like maintaining a car finish.. or run a semi-gloss finish, or whatever.
