1965-1967 911 Maroon #30717 or #30736

I'm looking for samples of two 911 Maroon colors from the mid 1960's. The porsche color numbers are #30717 and #30736.

Does anybody know this car? It was at the German AutoFest a few years ago. Just maybe it's one of the sought after color?

are you sure thats maroon and not burgandy? Burg is 6808

Is the picture color close to the Burgandy 6808 of your car?

If the owner of the pictured car or a friend of the owner could verify, that would be a start. The pictured car looks to be a 1966 of 1967 (narrow door handles) and your cars color #6808 was a 1968 color.

The color numbers #30717 and 30736 are from a very early 911 (901) and a 1967 model year 911. We don't know how close or far away the colors are.

(The factory could have just renamed the color for the following year???) More information is a good thing.
