GAP-OSIS, an RSR update and question

So conversion guys... What is the technique for closing the gap from the front fender/door line? Currently, the fender is flush with the inner support bulkhead and lines up correctly with the hood. But, with a test fit, the door gap at the fender is about a 1/2" or so. Looks too big. Any ideas? I don't have a pic of the gap as I was simply looking at the door and holding it up by hand...

Here are some other pics of progress:

First, Hang the door and make sure. Its really hard to hold the door in place and measure.

Second, I see you are in CO. I assume (by the look and location) these are GT racing parts. I had the exact same problem. I sent a fender back to Hank and got a new one. He was wonderful to deal with and the process took about at week.

If you can't return them (since they are cut and have mounting holes drilled in place) you will have to fix the gap. Make a cardboard tracing of the door face up front. Tape this to the trailing edge of the fender (back side). Grind back the gel coat. Fill up with fiberglass. Reshape. It may take 2 or 3 Thin layups to get the right thickness and shape. use the cardboard and trim to shape. Sand prime paint as usual.

btw, check your headlight buckets for size. Mine required a lot of work before a light would fit.
