Cab Owners - Tonneau question
I just bought a perfect factory original tonneau cover for my car. However, my car does not have the factory installed snaps on the dash and door sills.
Should I find door sills that have them installed from a wrecking yard and replace mine? Or just drill mine? Where exactly (if I drill)? On the dash there are 3 plastic dome shaped caps. I pried one up, and it seemed like they're there to fill pre-drilled holes. Is that where the tennax snaps go? Thanks, Mike

Mike,
I can't say about the doors, but I believe the dome caps are there to cover the male inserts (that go into the snaps) when the tonneau is not being used. These plastic caps are on my 85 cab, and they fit right over the inserts (which are screwed into the dash). They should come right off the inserts - you really should not have to pry them off. |

Bill,
I think the little plastic caps actually look a bit better on the dash than the uncovered snap insert. I guess Porsche thought so too. I will try posting a pic tommorrow. I always get that "too large an image" message. But I'll see if the camera can pic size down. |

Thanks guys, appreciate any help you can offer. How about a pic of the door also?
