911SC Targa Help
May I get a little help from the board please. Recognizing that its only been a little over a week buy I have not recieved much feedback on the car (this may just be an expectations gap). I've done some searches on the board which were helpful but I would like to solicit some additional strategies others have used to sell their Porsche.
Some additional questions I have: Going Price (I used BA in relationship to local market pricing). Side note, it's surprising there are only 3 SC's for sale in the ATL market which includes mine. Expected time on market. I have sold most of my previous cars by owner with good success and all within 2 weeks. For Pics my car is on the Porsche for Sale Forum. Your comments are welcome. |

I think BA's pricing can be high for some markets, but it looks like you're pretty close. That price will leave some room for a buyer to negotiate so it'll be easier for them to jump on it.
I also think you'll have to wait a little while to sell a Porsche. You might try getting a local ad that doesn't expire until after the car sells.

I subscribe to the "Cabs/Targas sell better after the first warm spring day" school of thought.

Cactusdtd I may have to agree with you. We've had such a mild winter I may have jumped the gun from a market potential standpoint. Case in point yesterday was upper 50's and sunny and I drove around with the top off. Today we may get some sleet or freezing rain. It justs holds me back from looking for the next car but thats a me issue.
125Shifter thanks for the reaffirmation on price as I am willing to negotiate. FWIW its advertised in the local paper (AJC). |
