I am using the Bridgestone S02 Pole Position tires and words cannot describe my happiness. These things inspire absolute confidence in any and all weather conditions. Without a doubt, it is the "right" tire for me and my car. That's what I was told I would find, and that is what I found.

S02 is a brilliant allround tire, gets better as it wears and not noisy. A bit compromissed towards wet but that a bonus for a road car.
The first few, say 300 kms / miles they are horrible, feels as if the wheels loose, but after that it's fine. A top 5 road tire.

Regards, Tom

What are the differences (sorry for the semi hijack) between S-02 and S-03PP tires? S-03 seems to be a better performer but yet cheap than S-02s on Tirerack.

S02 also had a PP (Pole Position) - one of the best allround street tires ever. As they wore the softer compound (silica) was exposed gradually - hence dry weather grip increased with wear.

S03 is the 'new' kid - replacing 02. It has better wet handling but lacks the old 02 dry ability. S02's are in high demand as 'experts' prefer their dynamics on performance cars - BUT they are a dying breed. A little like the 993 v 996 debate.

All subjective of course - but the competition has caught the 'Stones - Michelin, Pirreli, etc now are on par - some years ago the S02 ruled supreme...

My 5c.

Regards, Tom
