Electric cab top maintenance/disabling

Few questions for folks with an electic cab top. Searched for answers but have not been able to find anything.

1.) What regular maintenance is required on the electric cab mechanism/cables/motor to help prolong life and realiability?

2.) If you disable the electric top function to move the top manually up and down by loosening the nuts on the rear passanger sides, can you go back to electric mode just as easy by retightening them, or will some adjusting of the cables/mechanism be required?

Thanks in advance.

Charles,
I really don't do any maintenance on my cab top. But very light lubrication of the lift cables and greasing of the various bearings is likely a good idea. I did have to marry the power for one locking mechanim to the other as I was having one lock fire adn the other fail. That and an adjustment of the forward reach is really all I've done.
Are you having a problem or looking for a project?

The top is working great. I have had the car 3 years and the PO spent big $$ on top, assembly and moulding to make it absolutely perfect. Knowing it's a wear item, I just want to make sure I do everything possible to keep it in good shape.

l'll just do the lubrication Chris suggests and continue to be carefull lowering and raising the top and not monkey with anything.
