Can someone Tell me
Looking for the use of this unit. Location..! is behind the cardboar cover and in front of the fresh air blower.

Looks like your cruise control module. Normally those are bolted on under the dash.

I believe that's your cruise control. They were put under the radio sometime during the Carrera era.

Yeah, if you have an SC, that's the cruise control. It should be bolted to that brace bar right behind it in the picture.

it has partnumber... easy , put number in Pelican parts search tool
press GO button ... and presto : Cruise Control Unit, 928 F-617-127-00 $600.85
