PMO Fuel Pressure

Ok Guys, I hooked up a fuel pressure gauge to my PMOs. It gave me a reading 5lbs. Is that too high???

Here is the problem I am trying to figure out.

During the warm up lap of my races, when i am scrubbing the tires to get heat in them, the carbs bobble very bad... Almost like they are running out of fuel or severe fule slosh. Well PMOS shold not have the fuel slosh issue do to the float bowl design.

Once I straighten the car out and wait about 10 seconds, it is fine until I scrub the tires again. Then it comes back.. However under race conditions, I NEVER have a problem it is fine. No fuel problems what so ever. So I am baffled.

Why only on the warm up lap????

I know the recomended pressure is 3.5 to 4 lbs is the 5 lbs going to hurt anything or could this be causing the problem some how?

PMO's float needle and seat can withstand much higher psi without damage or leaking, btdt by mistake.

Is it possible your engine isn't warmed up for the carb to atomize efficently ?

Garage
Richard Parr at PMO reccomends 3-4 lbs for street cars and 4-5 pounds for race cars

I'll quote another idea from PMo's instructions "The fuel level should be close to the sandblasted dot in the window with engine running or slightly on lower side of dot. The fuel level will not stabilize on cars with solid motor - trans mounts.
