Dang, my seats look horrible

I need something to tear apart. Since the seats are halfway there already, maybe I'll get to work. Anyone use the upholstery kits from our host? What did you think of the kit and the project? Any Pictures? Thanks.

Remove seat. And disassemble the covering off the frame as gently as you can. There are sharp steel prongs, various hog rings and music wire tensioners that are hold the cover in shape and indentation to the frame. The hardest part was re-ringing the top of the seatcover's wire stay to the frame springs, and along each side of the bolsters. Sorry the reply isn't really a how to but I can't remember all of the details in order. These jpegs were for my reference on how to ring it back.

It's not hard if you have the right tools and materials:
Digital camera to take pictures while you disassemble the cover.
Hog ring pliers
Steamer or a heater for vinyl.
Soft face hammer to bend the prongs back down.
A helper to hold a light down the seat while you ring the headrest and bolsters.
Pliers and removal tools to get it out of the car.
Non-marring, clean work area.

and for the hard part-the bolster/below headrest area

I was recently pricing leather covers for some sport seats and found that for $200 more per seat, one of the companies would put the covers on for me. The seats are currently at Autos International, so I don't know yet how they will turn out, but a search here turned up good posts on their work.
