Dyed Seat - Before & After (w/ pics)

Re-dyed my passenger seat (used to be the drivers seat) with leatherique products and it looks really good. The $10k question is how will they look in a year? See for yourself ...

Before ...

After ...

Looks good, now tell me about that arm rest you have. Home made or purchased?

Seats look great!

The better question: How do your khakis look after an hour drive?

Looks good. Hope the khakis stayed khaki. I had the side bolster done on mine along with replacing the driver seat bottom leather after it began tearing at the seams. Replacement with German leather was $250. Trouble is the passenger seat doesn't match now since its lost the stitched pleating much like yours. I'd expect yours to tear along the stitchs also some day. Keep the leather conditioner flowing.

I used leatherique on a non-Porsche car a few years ago. I think you'll find that it is very durable. My guess is that if you keep the seats reasonably clean, a year from now it will look just like it looks now!

Hope you guys are right about it looking the same in a year - I will let you know. I did plenty of buffing, so I am not concerned about it coming off on my Khaki's - but the khaki's I wore while doing the project is a different story?

The armrest is a JC Whitney special that works great. I bought it ~10 years ago for my '67 and a little pricey for Whitney gear ($39.99) but compared to the other aftermarket ones it's a steal. I just checked and they still have them. It has a console section that works great. It interferes with the heater knobs but goes in and out easily.

Check it out ...
