early S shots
Washed and cruised to the Bentley dealer to look at a GT2 but I ended up taking more pics of my car so I thought I'd share a few

Sessa,
Love your car !!!! I guess I must wash mine and take some pics. IMHO the early S was beautiful because of its simple yet timeless design. Thanks for sharing these !

Wish you had gotten shots of your's next to the silver GT2. I took some of my red 911 targa next to a red 911 targa S model a few years ago. Unfortunately they did inot cmoe out as nice as yours. Could have been the subject though.

When I was younger I dreamed about a 911 exactly like that one. 30 years and 8 Porsche's later I still do.... Great car!

Man that is a beautiful car! That is the car I was looking for when I found my 70 S Targa. I really only bought the Targa because it was bone stock and low miles and low production numbers. I still like the coupe better. Very nice.

I was thinking that you must have really had a heat wave in Winnipeg!!!!! All along i assumed it was cold there in the winter.
![]() Your S is stunning.........it is hard to imagine the GT looking that good in 35 years.

Is the car from Winnipeg? Was this the last 911 to leave Winterpeg?

The cars cardex tells me the car was built march 5, 1970 and the engine is correct. It was ordered with leatherette, US equipment and the comfort package. I have history on the car back until about 1984 the car was imported to Vancouver from the States. The general manager of the Pan Pacific hotel owned the car from 89-97, and had it serviced at Wassach ( factory Ruf, lotus lambo dealer in Vancouver) He put a total of 8000 miles on the car the whole time. The car was bought in Vancouver and shipped to Winnipeg in the Spring of 97. It did a total of 1000 miles when I bought it in 2001. When I got the car it was in amazing shape and I jumped on it. She really just needed a very good detailing. The engine was rebuilt when it was in Vancouver (no records) in the early eighties acording to the service manager at Wassach, who remember the car well and was happy to talk to me about the history. I know there really can't be more then 25000 miles on the rebuild and the clock today shows 43560. I wish I had an idea of who had the car in the states and in the mid eighties while in Vancouver, but I've reached a dead end in my research. I assume someone really loved her back in the day and I'll keep her in the condition they started. It still had the original owners manual and all of the radio manuals and schematics although the radio was long replaced. I moved to Texas to get married in November so I get to enjoy it year round now.
cheers Paul

that's Weissach, Paul -I'm surprised that they do not know who the owner was previous to the Pan Pacific - they have quite a knowledge base. Congrats on the move/marriage from a ex- Winterpegger

wiessach (thank you) didn't start servicing it until the late eighties but the service manager did tell me it was in great shape and it stood out in his memory from the first time he saw it.

The car looks fantastic. It embodies, to me, exactly what a 911 should be.
